2. Instagram Data
sekrd integrates with Instagram to verify creator identities. When you connect your Instagram account:
- We request access to your basic profile information (username, profile picture, account ID)
- We use this data solely to verify that you own the Instagram handle you register with
- We do not post to your Instagram, access your DMs, or read your followers/following list
- We do not sell or share your Instagram data with third parties
- You can disconnect Instagram from your account at any time via Profile settings
Instagram data is used only for identity verification and is stored securely. We comply with Meta's Platform Terms and Data Use Policy.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use collected information to:
- Provide, operate, and improve the sekrd platform
- Verify creator identities via Instagram
- Process payments and maintain transaction records
- Send notifications about dare activity (acceptance, payment, submissions)
- Resolve disputes between buyers and creators
- Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and policy violations
- Comply with legal obligations
We do not use your data for advertising purposes. sekrd is ad-free.
5. Data Retention
- Submitted media content is automatically deleted 48 hours after a dare is confirmed completed
- Account data is retained while your account is active
- Transaction records are retained for 7 years for legal and tax compliance
- You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time
6. Security
We implement industry-standard security measures including:
- HTTPS encryption for all data in transit
- Bcrypt password hashing
- JWT-based authentication with expiration
- Watermarked content previews to prevent unauthorized distribution
No system is 100% secure. We encourage you to use a strong, unique password and to report any security concerns to security@sekrd.xyz.
